After years of working with the Illinois Fire Service Institute building propane live-burn training simulators, we felt Rocket Supply had a lot to offer the fire industry. As a result, Rocket Supply set out 2 years ago to build a state of the art, technologically advanced fire apparatus to exacting quality standards. Although we were unknown in the fire industry, we knew with over 45 years of original equipment tank truck manufacturing experience, we had the expertise and dedication along with a clean piece of paper to start with, to design an apparatus that addresses the needs of the rural firefighter.

The decision was made that to effectively accomplish this goal; we must first VISIT departments, then LISTEN to their needs and finally ENGINEER an apparatus to address those needs.

Our mission was to manufacture an NFPA 1901 compliant apparatus that was safe and efficient to operate.

We traveled over 6,000 miles, throughout the Midwest, visiting volunteer fire departments, attending trade shows and fire colleges and enlisting the assistance of the industry’s major component manufacturers, to help us develop the most advanced tanker on the market today…..the ROCKETFIRE tanker.
